This week The In Boys of Comedy™ discuss out-group bias.

Implicit association tests try to determine our gut reactions to others.  How much can they tell us about our biases?  Are we determined by our instincts to discriminate against others?  Or are they a biased way of detecting bias?

Our minds categorize and make snap judgments to navigate life, but these efficiencies in the brain are sometimes a source of human suffering.  Cooperation, forming groups, and relating with others close to us is one of the joys of life, but it can have a cost of excluding or discrimination.

How many of our biases are the product of evolution?  How much of a role does upbringing and culture influence what we think about outsiders?
