In 2001, Tina Engler Keen was rejected by all of the New York romance publishers for being too graphic. Knowing that other women were looking for erotica mixed with their romance, she opened her own ebook  publishing company called Ellora's Cave and coined the term 'Romantica'. Today, Ellora's Cave is one of the largest and most respected erotica publishers in the world.
